What inspired you to start participating in roller derby? I’ve been roller skating since I was a child. I love skating and the skating/derby community.

Advice to freshmeat: Be prepared for an awesome, wild ride.

Favorite moment: It’s such a privilege to be able to ref derby games and see the action up close. We have the best view in the house! So it’s hard to pick a favorite out of so many. If I have to pick one…I jam reffed a game where I had a jammer that earned lead for their first time, in their first game. There was a moment of hesitation then, “Wait, I got lead?!” I nod. “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!” While their teammates roar in excitement and the coach yells “Goooo!” The jammer’s excitement was infectious and it was a wonderful moment. Sadly, my appreciation of the moment had to remain stoic. Lol.
